A sail in the bay of Lagos with its long sandy beaches
and spectacular cliffs will be a highlight of your trip to the Algarve.
Winds
The prevailing wind in the summer is North named the Nortada. It is an
offshore wind which blows constantly throughout the season making it
ideal for catamaran sailing.
Topcat K2
This catamaran is a very sporty and responsive 17 foot
boat
with a capacity of up to 3 people including the skipper. Topcat has
been a leader in its category since its creation in 1979. There is dry
storage space for any belongings you wish to bring along. Ages from 8
and up are welcome. We provide lifejackets and wetsuits to ensure your
safety and comfort during the trip.
Excursions
An experienced skipper will take you out in complete
security for an excursion of 1, 2 hours or half day. If you wish to
just come along and enjoy the ride no sailing experience is required.
You will be briefly instructed on how to act on the boat as a passenger.
Lessons
If you want to learn a new watersport or improve your
sailing skills on a catamaran up to regatta techniques and trapeze
sailing, beginner to advanced lessons are available with a VDWS
teaching approach. A VDWS workbook containing all the basic theory to
help you speed up your progress is available with the course.
